Ciao from Calabria, where I’m at Le Tre Sarte’s wedding—a joyful, dirndl-clad celebration under the southern sun. (I do regret not sporting lederhosen!) Last year, we collaborated on blazers for the Olympics, uniforms for Le Sirenuse, and some safari suits. It’s lovely to see them outside the atelier, throwing a colorful party for their families.

Le Tre Sarte is a small tailoring shop in the heart of Rome. They use deadstock fabrics and locally sourced trim to make charming custom pieces. I stumbled on the shop a few Decembers ago while spending the holidays nearby. Painted in what I call “Italian Blue”—that shade you spot in homes of chic Romans, Florentines, and on early 2000s BMWs—it had pistachio shelves, red chairs, and wooden hot air balloons floating above linen dresses, vests, and wool capes with silk-knot closures.
